Puppy Survives Four-Mile Drive In Car Engine

A south Florida couple made a surprising discovery after finding a puppy trapped under the bonnet of their car.

Rescuers removed one of the vehicle's wheels before they were able to pry the stray dog from between the steering mechanism and an axle.

Mike Jachles, Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue...
spokesman, said the puppy must have have travelled "anything from four, five or 10 miles".

He added: "They realised the engine wasn't purring. In fact, it was actually running a little 'rough'."
The dog - hot and exhausted - survived the ordeal unscathed.
It is unknown how the animal got into the engine.
